We do not sell your data. Ever.
Data we collect
To make 1sttime work, we collect a small, purposeful set of information:
- Search queries — what you type into the app to ask for a first-time guide.
- Language preference — the language you've chosen for the app.
- Completed experiences — the guides you've marked as done. This is stored locally on your device only and is not sent to our servers.
We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or precise location to use the core app.
How we use it
- Your search queries are sent to our AI provider to generate a personal, step-by-step guide for you.
- Your language preference is used to show the app's interface and guides in your language.
- Completed experiences stay on your device so the app can show your progress — we don't use this to build a profile of you.
Third parties
We work with a small number of trusted third-party services to make 1sttime possible. Each only receives the minimum information needed to do its job:
Anthropic API (Claude)
Receives your search query to generate the step-by-step guide. Anthropic processes this request but 1sttime does not share any additional personal information with it.
Unsplash
Receives a short search keyword (e.g. "sushi", "wedding") to fetch a relevant photo shown in the app. No personal data is shared.
Firebase (Google)
Included in the app's infrastructure for potential future features such as push notifications. No personal data is currently transmitted to Firebase.
Your rights
- Access — you can ask us what data we hold about you.
- Deletion — since completed experiences and preferences are stored locally, uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them from your device. You can also ask us to delete any data held on our side.
- Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Objection — you can object to how we process your data at any time.
